Welcome to your BRAND NEW rugbyunited web site!

Busy few weeks at rugbyunited HQ!

Over the last few weeks, we’ve really noticed the rugby world and community really pick up about the Rugby World Cup, and as such, we’re busier than ever!

As I’m sure you’ve all seen, Rugby Aid was a great success, we were the social media partners for the event and really enjoyed working with Triple S Sports Entertainment, the sponsors and Rugby for Heroes. Rich, Gemma, Steve and Luke (@rugbyEng managers) where VIPs for night, sitting behind the replacements bench and afterwards, presented our cheque for £2,000 on the pitch. Rich blogged about it afterwards, see http://www.rugbyunited.org.uk/content/what-weekend

Whilst we’ve been busy promoting Rugby Aid, running competitions and giving away 30 tickets to our winners, Trevor has been working on the new web site you’re reading now! Long standing rugbyunited follower Marc Elmer took the lead, pulling together some rather nifty contacts to create the new web site that we are really proud of! Thanks also to Dave Heywood for helping switch from our old one, and Akuma Rugby and Rhino Rugby for their input and sponsorship to make the whole project happen!

We’ve still got some bits and pieces to do on the new site, but we’d be delighted to hear any feedback you have – please fill the details in our contact us page.

We’re also delighted to confirm that the Intellectual Property Office granted "Registered Trademark" status to rugbyunited, so you will now see ® are on our accounts. This process started at the beginning of the year, and is there simply to protect the name and stop others using rugbyunited for their own use – for examples to run events over the Rugby World Cup. This has been necessary after we’ve had to challenge a few organisations late in 2014 and early in 2015 (who shall remain nameless!) who have tried to pinch the name!!

So, in the last few weeks, Rugby Aid happened at long last, the new web site is live and rugbyunited is now a Registered Trademark!

In just a week, there’s something called the Rugby World Cup starting….
